Steve Williams is one of our current Olympic rowing champions with his second gold Olympic win coming last year. He is now captain of the world famous rowing club, Leander, in Henley.
A fine Male Torso
Artist's comments:
I made this work with Steve in the early part of 2008 with a view to create an `Avnue of Champions` with some of our top Olympic and Paralympics champions, looking forward to London 2012 and the Olympic games to be held there. The final vision is to create these works in a 3 x life size, carved in marble and interspersed with Oak trees, creating a beautiful contemplative avenue to inspire and celebrate.

As I told Lucy, the piece is more beautiful and delicate than I had been expecting. She is very special..

Thank you so much for the part you played in bringing us t... [Read more]
