Profile image of Nicholas B. DaddazioDaddazio`s subject and sculptural niche since 1992 has been and continues to be necktie sculpture (Contemporary Urban Primitive Art) in both bronze and mixed-media. He is also the first artist in the four hundred year history of the cravat/necktie to make figurative and representational bronze sculptures of the necktie/cravat. Artist's comments:
Tie Trumpet is a necktie configured into a trumpet player. This sculpture was submitted to Jazz at Lincoln Center as a tribute to Wynton Marsalis, musician and Artistic Director. Tie Trumpet complements Jazz at Lincoln Center?s three-part mission: 1. Education: Tie Trumpet shows the relationship between the arts ? Sculpture and Music. 2. Performance: Tie Trumpet embodies ?sculptural? movement like musical and dance movements. 3. Broadcast: On video or film, Tie Trumpet is visually beautiful and awesome. Tie Trumpet is millennium sculpture that embodies the form, function, and feeling of Jazz at Lincoln Center. Tie Trumpet connects different art forms: Fashion; Music; Classical Bronze Sculpture; Contemporary Art. Tie Trumpet connects different cultures: Classical Greek, Roman, European, American, and African (Primitive Bronze and Ritual Artifacts). Tie Trumpet will interact visually in the space between people, buildings, architecture, art, music, memorabilia, musicians, and connect the past with the present and the future. Tie Trumpet will be part of the new millennium?s energy. Tie Trumpet is millennium sculpture to memorialize the integration of art. Tie Trumpet is good for the students to see. Tie Trumpet contributes to the culture of Lincoln Center and the cultural life of New York City. Tie Trumpet is a monument to the integration of art. Tie Trumpet is millennium art that represents urban elegance and myth. Tie Trumpet is appropriate because the J@LC philosophy is that Frederick P. Rose Hall has to ?represent the integration of arts, cultures, and people for the 21st Century.? Tie Trumpet represents urban elegance and myth created by Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Art Tatum, Wynton Marsalis? Tie Trumpet suggests a New Orleans marching band where Wynton Marsalis gained invaluable experience as a young musician. Tie Trumpet honors the first musician to win a Pulitzer Prize, Wynton Marsalis.

Customer comment on 'Accepting (abstract Seated Woman Sitting statuettte)' by Plamen Dimitrov
Dear Plamen and Peter, I am please to advise you both that `Acceptance` arrived yesterday afternoon and I unwrapped her in the early hours of this morning. She is without doubt the most beautiful item I have ever possessed. She is not a mere statue, she is sublime and a real presence in our lives already. Her slenderness and beauty is a sheer joy to behold. Thank you both and especially you Plamen for your creativity. You cannot possibly know just how much this beau... [Read more]
