Sculpture description:
Norse God of Thunder, Protection, Fertility and Oaths.
The most popular god of the Vikings, Thor became one of the deities honoured by the pagan population of Scotland and Ireland, giving rise to such personal names as Thormod and Thorkel in the Hebrides in a culture that was both Scandinavian and Celtic.
