Sculpture: 'Juncture (Large Wood/Tree Trunk Modern Commission Yard statue/sculpture)' by Deanna Pindell
Public Installation (permanent) : Webster?s Woods Sculpture Park, Port Angeles Fine Art Center, WA.
Entire installation creates a meditative space approximately 30 fee diameter.
Monument: poplar branch from 110-year old tree, beeswax encaustic, river stones, concrete 70? x 24? x 24? Earthen Void: river rocks, concrete, earth 40? diameter ring, 30? deep void
A sanctuarial space. The poplar is a branch from an enormous old tree which was needlessly cut down. The work is a monument/memorial of veneration to the trees. The imagery of monument and void suggests ?Cycles of Life? and ?Duality of Forces? : tree-and-earth; rising form-and-sunken void; lingam-and-yoni; life and after-life; yin-and-yang;

"I say that the art of sculpture is eight times as great as any other art based on drawing, because a statue has eight views and they must all be equally well made." Benvenuto Cellini Italian Baroque goldsmith and sculptor1500-1571
Just today the package with the sculpture ”Forest Fairy” has arrived. Safe, perfectly packed. I must say “Forest Fairy” is really beautiful, great! I like her very much, her hands, her emotional dance, feelings hidden in her body. Thank you for filling my home with beauty. I wish you both a lot of enthusiasm for marvellous work you do.
