Sculpture: 'Transient Gift Sundial (Landscape Solar clock sculptures)' by Deanna Pindell
A massive Landscape Solar Clock or Sculptural Sundial For Sale by Deanna Pindell who has a Foresight and Imagination not give to many. She has this to say... "A Sundial and Meditative Plaza, dedicated to the precious but transient gifts of time and pure fresh water. Site-specific, located in a meadow on top of a 2 million-gallon water cistern."
Fort Worden State Park, Washington State, USA.
The hours-markers of the sundial are clear acrylic tubing, filled with water. There are four concrete pedestals surrounding the meadow. One pedestal has a poem by British poet David Haley, (etched into clear acrylic) about water. The other three pedestals have installations of glass vessels etched with the word for water in 60 languages.
Although this was originally designed as a temporary public artwork, the concept can be re-engineered for permanent installation.

He worked round the clock and was incredibly intuitive with his understanding of what I wanted. This was despite an 8 hour time difference and having poor English as our common language. He w...
