Profile image of Alan JackAlan`s love of well tooled machinery combined with a strong creative urge, in his creation of creatures, which somehow whilst having a slight touch of humor, have an underlying pervasive strength and artistry. Much in demand and in collections worldwide we are lucky to have the enjoyment of these one off pieces, which take so long to put together.

"The problem of contemporary sculpture and the garden is one which has rankled in my mind for years. It is usually resolved through a process of inversion-that is turning it into sculpture in the garden as against garden sculpture. By that I mean the sculptor takes over the garden as an open exhibition gallery, of which the focus is their creation, to which the world of nature merely provides the frame. The Idea that sculpture is a contributory element to an overall'mise en scene',in which, sometimes its role may be incedental rather than central, has been lost.In this we have seen the betrayall of the great tradition of garden sculpture, one which was unashamed at being decorative or delightful."

Customer comment on 'Rainbow 1 (Curved Arched Modern abstract Carved Wooden statue)' by Liliya Pobornikova
Hi Liliya, Rainbow 1 arrived today. I can`t describe my delight, it is so truly awesome, where did you ever find such a piece of wood, and you are so skilled, creating such a unique piece. I`m not worried about the crack, it`s natural, and part of its beauty. This will be a privilege to own, and will last for so many lifetimes. Kind regards,
Mr A. Chalmers, Suffolk, United Kingdom.
