Sundial carved in Portland Stone, v-incised lettering around waist and on top.
Artist's comments:
I carved this sundial for the sculptor Simon Gudgeon, working to his design. The detail on the surface is the graphical representation of the equation used to determine the position of the Sun in the sky at any given time.
