Profile image of Nicholas RowsellNicholas Rowsell was born around midnight on the 17th/18th of August 1960 during a dry electrical storm, in Hackney, London. This fact, according to Nick, is "Perhaps the most interesting thing about me as apparently lightbulbs were popping like champagne corks" Nicholas first picked up a hammer and chisel with the intension of creating a sculpture in 1987`and has been carving one or more pieces of sculpture ever since and does not look like he is going to stop. Sculpture description:
Rhino&Lioness Fighting Carved Lime Stone Attacking Defending Unique sculpture carving statuette for sale for Indoors Inside Interior display by Nicholas Rowsell..... "Nicholas has carved a serious piece of sculpture that is totally unflinching in its portrayal of the harsher aspects of African wildlife. The hard reality that depicts life and death up front and close is not for the uninitiated and this wild lif sculpture of conflict fearlessly captures the moment.
Artist's comments:
Death by violence is often banal and grizzly in equal measures. I wanted to portray this axiom with subjectivity that just about everyone can identify with so no one is in any doubt as to what it represents as a piece of sculpture and what I am attempting to portray. I originate from East London and as a boy and young man was randomly steeped in that sometimes shady and often violent world; this piece is a cathartic attempt of `transference into stone`.

Customer comment on 'Accepting (abstract Seated Woman Sitting statuettte)' by Plamen Dimitrov
Dear Plamen and Peter, I am please to advise you both that `Acceptance` arrived yesterday afternoon and I unwrapped her in the early hours of this morning. She is without doubt the most beautiful item I have ever possessed. She is not a mere statue, she is sublime and a real presence in our lives already. Her slenderness and beauty is a sheer joy to behold. Thank you both and especially you Plamen for your creativity. You cannot possibly know just how much this beau... [Read more]
