Profile image of Alison LochheadAlison Lochhead studied art and ceramics at Loughborough College of Art and Design and Wolverhampton Polytechnic from 1971 - 1975. During this period she became very interested in weaving and she received a scholarship to study tapestry weaving in Poland for a year. On her return to Britain she set up as a tapestry weaver. Alison has always loved travelling and in 1981 she got a job for three years in the Sultanate of Oman working alongside the Bedouins. iron and ceramic ship wreck ruin abstract MOdern Contemporary statues/Ornament/statuette/figurine For Sale. This work is made of ceramic and cast iron, fused together. the ribs of the wrecked boat of iron and the backbone and body of the boat from ceramic.

This sculpture is part of a series of sculptures called Wrecks, building on Death Boat series and working with the emerged expressions of materials after fire in the kiln and through molten iron processes.
