When he`s working wood, he is simultaneously looking for new ways of using it, while researching how it was used historically. Marks and holes from previous use and natural flaws and splits are exploited for expressive purposes.

Sculpture description:
A carving of two intertwined spoons. Carved Wood Love Spoons Intertwined Wall Hangig Collectors Piece.Tradidional Wooden Love Spoons for Indoors Inside the Cosy, the Kitchen, the Parlor, the Living Room. Individually Hand Carvedout of one piece of Wood by the Sculptor David Gross.
Artist's comments:
I wanted to do a new take on the love spoon. I think I had been watching a documentary about snails. This sculpture was originally made for a valentines day exhibition. I`ve displayed it lying flat on a plinth and hung on a wall. I like it either way.
