Profile image of Michael HipkinsMichael Hipkins was born in 1942 and received his Art education at Blackpool College. He then went to Paris to study painting at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere and Academie Julienne and etching and engraving at S.W. Hayter`s Atelier 17. Primarily absorbed by the human figure, he is not so concerned with naturalistic interpretation but rather with truth to materials used.
