Sculpture description:
This sculpture was carved from a diseased horse chestnut tree at the centre of a new public garden in Grantham, Isaac Newton`s home town. The tree lent its self to the hand shape, the apple was added and its surface was engraved with the map of the world to reference Newton`s theory of gravity.
