Profile image of Elliot ChannerBorn in 1989 in Burton upon Trent, Elliot showed a passion for wildlife and art from a young age. Influenced by the animal sculptures of the renaissance, he focuses on capturing the life and grace of the subject, concentrating ​on their key features but allowing spontaneity to make up the main body of the sculpture. Sculpture description:
Flying Kingfisher This Cold Cast bronze resin sculpture/statue/statuette/figurine captures the movement and elegance of the kingfisher whilst taking off. A life size piece, For Sale for Indoors/Inside/interior the great detail of the birds feathers are brilliantly captured and individually modelled and coloured. This sculpture has been exhibited at Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall`s River Cottage HQ.
Artist's comments:
Having been inspired by British wildlife, particularly birds, I have worked to produce a sculpture that focussing on the form of the kingfisher. Concentrating firstly on the stance of the animal, I have produced a life size piece that forms part of an extensive wildlife series.
