Profile image of Hilary ManuhwaHilary Manuhwa’s work has benefited from his familiarity, through his father with the more traditional way of sculpting expressing cultural and spiritual beliefs. Since working with the younger artist, he has been able to enhance his practice by incorporating themes of everyday life, or by producing work that comments on aspects of life in the 21st century. His sculpture, Road to Freedom, for example, was recently on view at World Museum Liverpool. It is a piece depicting refugees experiences, problems and aspirations.

Customer comment on 'Brasil - Chess (Corporate Commission of an entire edition)' by Plamen Dimitrov
Although it seemed a daunting project to commission a sculpture on the internet with a tight deadline, Plamen Dimitrov in Bulgaria made it as easy as possible for me in Brazil by producing a series of little clay sketches after each email and sending photos it seemed by return. He worked round the clock and was incredibly intuitive with his understanding of what I wanted. This was despite an 8 hour time difference and having poor English as our common language. He w...
