Sculpture description:
Carrie has drawn on inspiration from nature for this lovely pair of stone carvings, as a child she used to go on nature walks with her primary school and a favourite thing was to fly the Sycamore seeds, these stone carvings in Portland Limestone from Dorset are inspired by these simple yet beautiful forms.
Artist's comments:
I try and take inspiration from things that I have seen and interacted with, these Sycamore seeds are no exception and I will be carving more from the drawings that I have in my many sketchbooks!
