Sculpture: 'Storm King (Astract Bighorn Sheep Ram Leaping statue)' by Timothy Nimmo
Bronze Contemporary Semi Abstract Stylised Romanticised Leaping Big Horn Sheep Ram Sculpture Statue For Sale for Indoors Inside Interior display in the House or Home and Outdoors in the Garden or Yard and Exterior or Outside on the Patio or Terrace by the Award winning American Sculptor Timothy Nimmo who writes... "Storm King was inspired by the view of the Colorado Rocky Mountains from Timothy`s home in Loveland Colorado. Loveland sits on the geographical transitional area where the Rocky Mountains meet the Western edge of the Great Plains. Here, the weather comes from the mountains from the immediate west, and moves out over the "Front Range" onto the Plains. Often clouds will form around the high peaks on clear afternoons. One can`t tell where the sky, clouds, snow, and rocks begin or end. In mid day, these clouds begin to blow off the peaks of the high mountains, and move over top us forming gusty winds, brief down pours, and short hail storms. As they proceed East, within a few miles and in short order they blow up into mega thunderstorms which produce very severe weather. Watching these phenomena, living with them, Timothy began to see the life an energy of these storms as an animal allegory symbolized best by this mighty creature: the curling elements in the body and joints became swirling winds and rain, the legs symbolized lightning bolts, the burls of the horns representing hail. Artistic inspiration for Storm King came from a marriage of Paul Manship`s Prometheus and Van Gogh`s Starry Night; filtered through Timothy`s original nature inspired vision.

"I say that the art of sculpture is eight times as great as any other art based on drawing, because a statue has eight views and they must all be equally well made." Benvenuto Cellini Italian Baroque goldsmith and sculptor1500-1571
Dear Peter, Enclosed is photo of my lovely fox, placed into an area which I`m developing as a small bluebell and white birch woodland. I`m absolutely delighted with the sculpture! Would you please pass a copy on to Tessa (Hayward), with my thanks and very best wishes. Jenny
