Sculpture description:
Small Rectangular Cubist Cityscape Downtown Skyscraper Abstract Contemporary Modern Outdoor Outside&indoor Interior Statuettes sculptures for sale In the House or Garden by the successful British Sculptor Philip Melling who Writes... "The tall Rusted Towers and claustrophobic spaces of this architecturally styled sculpture puts one in mind of some city of lost souls - like the city of Dis in Gehenna, from Dante`s Inferno."
Artist's comments:
Even though the pieces are assembled with a specific order in mind, they are intended to hide the possiblity of unrest within the areas that can`t be seen. A chaos imprisoned within walls. The sculpture is made in three sections, that can be separated and placed in a number of ways, allowing different patterns of structure to be created. The sculpture is made from weathered steel and has been finished with wax.
