The artwork of M.C.CAROLYN includes a wide range of visual statements about the human condition. She began as the youngest person to be allowed into the nude model drawing classes at the San Francisco Museum of Art. Human forms took life in stone as she taught herself to carve. Sculpture: 'Birth (Alabaster sculpture of Baby`s Head at Birth abstract statuette)' by M.C. Carolyn
Alabaster Contemporary Abstract Portrait of a Baby`s Head at Birth sculpture carving statuette Bust for sale for Indoors Inside Interior Display by the perceptive Californian sculptress M.C. Carolyn who writes.... "First, the discovery of the form for a child’s head supported by a large hand. Then, colors became enhanced with the polish finish. What was at first a combined twosome became a much stronger and exciting statement of Birth as the color of birth emerged.
MCCAROLYN is a direct carver and does not use models/maquettes for her sculpture. The shape of the stone piece and its colors suggest possibilities for form and subject matter. MCC uses the human form to offer a wider interpretation of her sculpture subject. In her correspondence with Isamu Noguchi she asked him the difference between his large sculpture environments and her much smaller sculpture pieces. He responded, “…that there is no difference”. In his works the viewer is able to walk within the grouping and the viewer will walk with their eyes through the MCC forms.

And although I cannot afford the £xxxx for her Rainbow 1, I would love to own it, and would be happy to pay £xxxx. Thank you to you too Peter, especially for bearing me in mind, but also for q...
