Profile image of Jilly SuttonJilly Sutton trained at Exeter College of Art. She carves "in the round" large pieces of timber, the challenge being the plastic manipulation of the wood. Her mostly figurative work has a haunting beauty, with an over-riding feeling of peace. Her double sized head of the Poet Laureate is in the National Portrait Gallery collection. Much of her work is cast in bronze or sometimes Olive-stone from her original carvings.

"It is not hard to understand modern art. If it hangs on a wall it's a painting, and if you can walk around it it's a sculpture."

Customer comment on 'Sidewind 2 (Bronze abstract Figures in wind statue)' by Plamen Dimitrov
Dear Peter

Just to say how thrilled and delighted we are with our recent sculpture purchased through Art Parks online – “When I Saw You” by Kay Singla (a truly gifted artist and wonderful person).

Once again, our buying experience has been absolutely first class – both in our dealings with you and Sarah at Art Parks and with the individual sculptors directly.

As you may remember, we have previously bought sculptures via your website ... [Read more]
