Francois Viljoen is a South African born artist, now lives in the south west part of Baden Württemberg, Germany. In many ways arts influenced and marked his life from the start. He was in a only Academic+Sport school with no art classes, This was quite frustrating, but then the creative process, esp. drawing, became a passion and big interest in his teenage years, following a long, weekly TV series called, "Quest for Romanticism". Pangolin Bronze Small statuette or sculpture for sale for Indoors Inside Interior display by the Bavarian based Sculptor François Viljoen, who writes.... "Solitary animal, with a thick skin.",... "Introvert" and nocturnal. Mysterious and amazing creature – with strong paws and claws. Can walk on four or two legs, maintaining balance with its tail and front part of its body. The Cape/Ground Pangolin. When in danger, rolls up in a ball to protect the only vulnerable parts of its body. The Pangolin becomes a metaphor to a specific human character type: "hard on the outside, soft on the inside". Rolls up/closes up when confronted with danger/confrontation, or fear.
