Profile image of Nicholas CollinsNicholas Collins has a background in Model Design and studied at Amersham&Wycombe Art College and then at Hertfordshire University. He spent the early part of his career designing and making attractions for Legoland Windsor and Legoland San Diego. He followed that by working in the film and television special effects industry. Now he mostly focuses on his sculpture work, moulding and casting his creations as well as providing a moulding and casting service to other artists and sculptors.

Artist's comments:
This sculpture has a concealed concrete base that holds the rocket at the correct angle. The dirt from the hole in which the base sits is used to hide the base and to create a crater around the bottom edge of the sculpture. See photos.
