Sculpture description:
Steel vase coated with resin on the inside.

The surface has been textured with welding techniques, then satin polished. The textured pattern is reminiscent of a petrified surface or scaled animal skin, the polished scales contrasting with the dark oxide layer of the surface around them.
The resin makes it suitable for holding water, but weldvessels can also be displayed as art objects and look wonderful in small groups.

Contemporary Abstract Steel Table Vase Sculptures for indoors or inside the House or Office and Gallery- representing the Movement of Elements including animal scales rising up through it`s tubular form, by Philip Melling who captures the Nature of Elements so Brilliantly and Beautifully every time.He Is interested in discussing Custom or Commission Variations in Size and Design.
Artist's comments:
Weldvessels are designed as sculptural art objects, that look beautiful standing alone or in small clusters. They can also be used as vases to hold flowers, or vessels to hold other items.

Weldvessels are hand made, with no two being exactly the same.
