Artist's comments:
It`s challenging to find a likeness of someone you are very close to and this portrait was no exception. The smallest change of line, a 1/16th of an inch, a couple of millimeters, can change everything. This was truly a labor of love.

This is a portrait of my wife, sculptor and musician Sherry Tipton. The composition is from a photograph I took of her as she watched my son, Walker, then 16 years old, play guitar at a blues club in Denver, Colorado, USA. This is another example of my bas-relief portrait carving.
