Sculpture description:
Nude Girl symbolically supporting a Church Pillar or Column limited edition statue or sculpture for sale for Interior Decoration by the American Architect Sculptor Edward Fleming who writes..... "The form of the spinal muscles in a woman`s back closely resembles that of the clustered piers or columns in Gothic Cathedral Architecture. If you consider the history of the golden mean and the relationship between human proportions and classical architecture, then the irony of the patriarchal Church having this female foundation comes into focus. The woman is holding an immensely heavy stone column and archway on her shoulders with physical grace but her expression reveals that she is very angry. This bronze sculpture is cast from the maquette for the life-size sculpture. That sculpture, which has not yet been made, will be a combination of marble, for the figure and column, up to the capital, then bronze for the capital and arches above. It will be approximately 9` tall.
Artist's comments:
As a student of Architecture History and a practicing Architect, the correlation between buildings and the human form and proportions has long been a fascination of mine.

"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."

Customer comment on 'Dog Fox' by Tessa Hayward
Dear Peter, Enclosed is photo of my lovely fox, placed into an area which I`m developing as a small bluebell and white birch woodland. I`m absolutely delighted with the sculpture! Would you please pass a copy on to Tessa (Hayward), with my thanks and very best wishes. Jenny
