Sculpture description:
Uprooted Tree Bronze Life Size sculpture or statue for sale for Outside Outdoors in the Garden Wood or Yard by the Award Winning Scottish Sculptress Fanny Lam Christie who states.....
"The sculpture Storm received the N.S. MacFarlane Charitable Trust Award at the 180th annual exhibition of the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh.

The sculpture of an enormous blown over Sitka Spruce root evokes a sense of anxiety and vulnerability. The work explores the increasing problem of changing and intensifying weather conditions and highlights the crucial eco-balancing role of trees.
Artist's comments:
"The work was a response to the prolonged aftermaths of Harricane Katrina 2005 which impacted 90,000 sq miles of Louisanna and Mississippi and 15 million people. I was looking for uprooted trees taken by storm to work with and found plenty in the woodland Marchmar at Lumsden where I had my first of many residencies over the years at the Scottish Sculpture Workshop. Storm highlights the often irreversible damage caused by severe weather conditions.

The durability of bronze serves as a permanent reminder of the problem of climate change and the need to deal with it and to restore what is left of our natural environment."

Customer comment on 'Egret on Alert (Standing Water Bird Wader sculpture)' by Kenneth Potts
Ken, Peter

Thank you both, and especially of course Ken, for your trouble over the
egret sculpture. I am very glad to say that it is now installed in our
garden, and we are delighted with it. Lucy has decided it should be called
Elgar, in memory of the work you are currently doing, Ken.

I attach a couple of pictures showing Elgar the Egret on his stand and in
his setting above the rockery by the pond.

Regards

Tim, Devizes, Wiltshire, United Kingdom.
