Profile image of Simon Burns-CoxSimon Burns-Cox has been a professional Sculptor and Letter Cutter since 1997 working in both Stone and Marble and is now based at The Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop which is an International Centre for Sculptors in Edinburgh, Scotland. Simon was born in 1962 in Sussex. He trained formally in Stone Carving in the UK and then went to live in Rome, Italy where he spent nearly four years learning the skills and techniques of Marble Sculpture from Italian craftsmen and artisans. Big War torn Tree Abstract Contemporary Carved Marble/ Stone unique statuary sculpture for sale for Outdoors Outside Exterior Commemorative display area by the Scottish Sculptor Simon Burns-Cox who writes... "This six foot Sculpture is made of Black and Gold Portoro Marble. It was made in aid of Poppy Scotland to commemorate the ending of the First World War. It is designed to represent the last remaining tree on the battlefront standing in a desolate landscape but a symbol of hope."

The Sculpture FRANCE 1914 was made in aid of PoppyScotland to commemorate the ending of The First World War. It is on display at a three year exhibition at the following venues and will be auctioned at the end of the exhibition in aid of the charity: The People`s Palace Museum, Glasgow from 2016-17 Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Glasgow from 2017-18 The Riverside Museum, Glasgow from 2018-19
