Sculpture: 'Surfing Seal (Small Low Relief Carved and Surf statuette)' by Tony Mayo
contemporary Seal Swimming statuette, Little Carved Seal in Waves unique statue statuette for sale for Indoors Inside Interior pleasure in the home by the International Sculptor Tony Mayo. "Exceptionally beautiful base made from quilted maple grown in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia, Canada. Sculpted from soapstone from the Canadian Rocky Mountains."
Under certain conditions the quilted maple base reflects iridescent. One day, as the sun set, I was watching seals surf huge west coast Canada waves. As a assive wave swelled up in front of me, the sun shown right through it, turning imt translucent emerald green. Within the wave I could see the beautiful shadow of a seal surfing that wave, its flippers outstretched as if flying. This sculpture is completely made by hand without the aid of power tools. This is a truly one of a kind, beautifully made sculpture!
