Profile image of Alexey BykovAlexey Bykov`s technique to create colorful and realistic sculptures in hard wood makes the material look soft and plastic, making an illusion of being sculpted, not carved.

Influenced by the classic school and folk art, he manages to develop his style where classic shapes melt into exaggerated forms smoothly flowing one into another achieving a natural harmoniously accomplished look.

I can say more....

It`s a present for my fathers 80th and the perfect thing to have found for someone who already has most things! He`s an ornithologist too and adores the garden.
