Sculpture description:
Contemporary Abstract Stone Head statue, by The Prize Winning Sculptor
Tamas Baraz.
The piece is stood into the position of an upraised head. This makes the work easier to communicate. The stone is broken through, so it has an “inside”. In this aspect the work is a slice of a head in which we can find efferent nerve movers and the clarifying “idea”.
Although the whole work seems “geometric” it is also representational with its silhouette and with the human lips. This opposition also provides a mysterious tension to the work.
