Welcome to Sausmarez Manor and Art parks

"Have you got that spot in the garden, by the pool, on the terrace or in the conservatory that deserves something to lift the soul, to create rapture, or simply as a focal point?"

If so, you may well find what you are looking for in the Channel Islands because between 150 and 250 pieces of sculpture, by around 90 different artists, are on display in the grounds of Sausmarez Manor, St Martin, Guernsey at any one time.

By using the natural backdrop of the wild sub tropical gardens, the two small lakes and the more formal and slightly less wild garden, the sculpture is shown at it's best.

The ArtPark is part of the National Sculpture Festival which takes place every year here an at one ot two other venues in Britain.

Art Parks Sculptures

ArtParks has sculptures for the garden, sculpture for the terrace, sculpture for the patio, sculpture for the Town Square, sculpture for the Estate, sculpture for the office, sculpture for the environment, sculpture for healing help in the hospital, sculpture for schools, commerorative sculpture, scultpure for the interior and sculpture for architectural embelishment.

Sculpture Conservation & Restoration

ArtParks have artists who can restore damaged sculpture, replace lost or wrecked sculpture and conserve sculpture in danger of deteroration.

Commission Sculpture

There are ArtPark artists who specialise in creating sculptures of people, sculptures of heroes, sculptures of pets, sculptures of horses, sculptures of cats & dogs, sculptures of loved ones and sculptures of family and friends.

The Ethos

The Ethos of ArtParks is to create a chance for a wider cross section of quality sculptures, to be exposed to as many interested people as possible, in suitable surroundings.

Although many of our collectors have ordered work by Artists they know on this website, I would advise that until you are confident, you come and have a look first. Either way, feel free to discuss your thoughts on the telephone or via email.

We are in the process of putting as many works as we can by each artist to give you a feel of what they are capable of, however, this does not mean that they are all still available as good work sells quickly, so it is worthwhile checking before ordering pieces.

Commissioning a work

Much of what we do is to supply sculpture to special commission. All you have to do is tell me what sort of thing you are looking for, and if possible a budget price and I can introduce you to between one and three of our 400 or so  Artists, so you can discuss your needs directly with them.

Specifiers

Architects and designers can send your specifications along with site photographs and a budget price to me here at peter@artparks.co.uk

I will send you a suitable short list of Artists to take to the next stage. However, with the largest 'Stable' of Artists in Britain, you should be able to tell who you feel you would like to work with.

Each season has a different floral highlight :

In the Spring

...with the Daffodils and Bluebells are a sight for sore eyes along with half of the 320 camellias some going back over 100 years are a sight to delight any garden lover. In Mid May the New Collection for the Sculpture Festival is unveiled by a celebrity every year.

In the Summer

...with all the butterflies and the bird song of all the newly hatched birds. The Tree Ferns unfurling their new fronds , the 40 odd species of Bamboo sprouting, The Handkerchief Tree, the final flourish of the Camellias and in high summer the lovely white flowers of the Myrtle and Eucriphia Trees overlapping the blooms of the hundreds of Hydrangeas, the Fuchsias and the early wild cyclamen.

In the Autumn…

...the Season for the Hippiastrum Lilies, the Hydrangeas and the main flourish of Cyclamen. The Ginger (Hedechium) and the Colocasia are now flowering.

In the Winter…

...Arum Italicum, early daffodils, the riot of Camellias and the early spring Cyclamen hold sway in the garden. With the return of the migrant birds and the song of the early nesters, the woods are a joy.
